Congratulations to accounting team member Jem for

Congratulations to accounting team member Jem for her promotion to Property Accountant! Jem began her journey at Low Tide as an Accounting Technician and transitioned into a Property Accountant role earlier this year. In her new role, Jem is responsible for overseeing the monthly accounting activity for our vibrant Kitsilano portfolio. Get to know Jem and her role below!  
What is your favourite memory at Low Tide?

“My favorite memory at Low Tide is when I got hired! It marked the start of a really positive journey. I found a role I enjoy, in a workplace that values work-life balance and creates a supportive environment!”

What are you looking forward to in your new role?

“In my new role, I’m excited to build on my skills from being an Accounting Technician and my background in cost accounting and taxation. I’m looking forward to getting into the details of each property I am assigned and working closely with Property Managers. It’s a great opportunity to grow and make a meaningful impact!”

What do you like doing in your spare time?

“I love experimenting with new recipes from TV shows or online. Cooking is my way to unwind and get creative. Now that I’m done with school, I also enjoy exploring BC’s beautiful outdoors with my husband and friends. Whether it’s a new hiking trail or trying out other outdoor activities we haven’t done before, it’s always great to share those experiences together!”

We are excited to share that Vela in Kirkland has received two awards! Vela has been named the Grand Winner for Best Amenities at the 2024 Multifamily Executive Awards and recognized as Best New Development of the Year (150 units or less) by the 2024 Washington Multi-Family Housing Association.

This project marks an important milestone as Low Tide’s first ground-up development in the Seattle area. A special thank you to our development partner, Continental Properties, all the consultants and trades that worked on this project, our property management partner, Avenue 5 Residential, and the Low Tide team for making this project a success.
